Ontario Genomics has a rich history of fostering innovation within the health ecosystem by facilitating connections among researchers, industry, and government. For knowledge translation and impact, Ontario Genomics is pleased to invite you to join our ‘Innovations in Digital Health Diagnostics’ workshop, scheduled to take place immediately after the 48th CCMG-CCGM Annual Scientific Meeting on June 19th [2-4PM followed by a 1-hour networking session] at the Delta Hotels St. John’s Conference Centre.
In this workshop, Dr. Kym Boycott and her team at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) will demonstrate their ThinkRare tool, a rule-based AI algorithm that uses searchable and structured electronic medical record data to identify undiagnosed patients who may have rare genetic disease (RD) and benefit from a referral to Genetic services, and its impact on accelerating RD-diagnosis and patient care.
In addition, this workshop will bring together digital health companies and researchers developing tools for earlier disease diagnosis across various disease areas. Representatives from the pharmaceutical industry and other potential users of digital health tools are also invited to participate in a broader discussion focused on ‘Digital approaches that can enhance the clinical diagnostic process for early disease diagnosis and better patient care.’ Importantly, this workshop will offer a collaborative space for experts across academic, public, and private sectors involved in the development or use of digital health tools.
To reserve your seat, please register today using the Eventbrite link provided. The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 12th, 2024.
