Introduction and welcome

Meet up with your fellow trainees and join us for sessions focused on maintaining your passion for your career. We will discuss approaches to maintaining your spark for genetics, how to set career goals and ensure that they are realized. Join us for our first mentor-mentee speed dating event! Meet with mentors who can provide advice on a variety of subjects including career planning, fellowships and employment!

By the end of this session attendees will be able to:

• Recognize the importance of lifelong learning and curiosity throughout their careers
• Develop a plan for prioritizing and realizing their career goals
• Identify individuals who can serve as mentors during trainee and early career years
